Abraham's Promises 'tour'

The staged reading - Abraham's Promises - was done in four different cities over a two week period in the first half of June.  Written as a piece of inform audiences about themes and the history related to the genocide in Gaza and raising issues of debate around the role of religion in texturing and driving conflicts, Abraham's Promises affirmed its process - that it could be done as a reading with locals after a two-hour rehearsal and that it could indeed inform and catalyse a respectful discussion.  The 'tour' of the script started at the Chrysalis Academy in Cape Town on 1 June, and was followed by a reading in Johannesburg at the Palestinian Solidarity Committee's office before a reading at the University of Pretoria the next day.  On 11 June, it was done as a reading at the Hexagon Theatre in Pietermaritzburg.
