City Leadership Forum

The City Leadership Forum gathers leaders from the public, private, media and civil society sectors and takes them on a journey of readings and seminars over a period of six months.  They take place in Durban, Johannesburg and Cape Town and are led by Bruce Robertson and Janina Masojada.  They invited me to speak to the Cape Town cohort about the arts and about my work.  I traced the development of my career from 1976 during the students uprisings when I was at school since we were marking 50 years since that momentous period.  It was a very useful engagement, and daresay, a good learning experience for the participants some of whom indicated that they now understood the arts differently.
