Superfan sells out its fourth straight house
The intimate Antique Theatre is a boost to the egos of independent theatre-makers
Superfan, my new show featuring John Maytham, has sold out its first four shows with a week to go to its opening on 20 August! That the theatre only seats 42, helps, but it is encouraging to see 'sold out' signs on the theatre's website. The strategy has always been to sell out the first few shows and if the play's any good, word-of-mouth should take care of the rest of the run. That we shall still have to see....
